Acanthus WSM are pleased that the land at Blue Hills farm has received planning approval.

The proposal will see the creation of 91 two, three and four bedroom family homes with public open space and children’s play area in the popular village of Birkenshaw.

The first phase of the development will commence later this summer which will deliver 77 homes of which 50% will be affordable.

Acanthus AWSM were delighted that our scheme for Leeds Jewish Housing Association in Moortown, Leeds has won the prestigious Northern Housing Award for Best Supported/Sheltered Housing Development 2023.

Delivered by Equans, who worked continuously throughout the pandemic, to deliver 85 no high-quality apartments over two blocks together with associated communal facilities, and all within budget.

A detailed planning application has been submitted for a new extra care scheme on the site of the former Middlecross Day Centre in Armley, Leeds.

The aim is to promote independent living for older people whilst also offering onsite care. Residents will have the security and privacy of their own home but with access to communal facilities including a salon, coffee bar and restaurant. There are 65 one- and two-bedroom apartments arranged around a landscaped courtyard and gardens. The building will be highly energy efficient and ‘dementia friendly’ with level access throughout. Every apartment will benefit from a private terrace area or balcony.

EQUANS, a Bouygues group company, are delivering the project on behalf of Leeds City Council who will own and manage the building. It is hoped that a start on site will be made later this year.
