Sylvester Street, Sheffield
It`s great to see the completion of Sylvester House, a 13 storey development in a prominent location near the city centre. The 335 luxury PRS apartments on the site of a former melting house include 13th floor gymnasium, communal lounge / games room and external roof gardens together with ground floor commercial space.
This is the second successful major city centre scheme working with Winvic Construction in the last four years on behalf of Platform_.

As the curtain comes down on 2023, it has been another busy year for the practice with the completion of over 550 new homes throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, including a large £40 million pound PRS development in Sheffield city centre.
Our current pipeline of work means 2024 will be another exciting year with more than 500 homes due to start on site, including specialist wheelchair apartments and two large extra-care schemes in Yorkshire.
Finally, we are delighted to announce Natalia Gladysz and Ross Booth will start the New Year as Associates.
Mali Jenkins House, Walsall
Construction has recently started on 18no accessible apartments in Walsall on behalf of Habinteg. Habinteg are a registered provider whose vision is to create communities that include disabled people, offering places to live that meet their needs and provide the highest levels of independence, choice, and control over their daily lives.
These much needed wheelchair accessible homes will genuinely change people’s lives for the better, offering local residents greater opportunity for independent living which they otherwise might not have.
The development will be 100% affordable and every apartment will benefit from level access showers, accessible kitchens / bathrooms, generous circulation areas and step free approach to private amenity spaces.
Work is due to complete Autumn 2024.
