London Road, Leicester

Work has now commenced on site at London Road, Leicester on a city centre mixed use development, incorporating student housing and retail. The substructure works are underway with the superstructure up to first floor level pending. The offsite prefabrication has reached design freeze and the ‘Fusion’ system for the floors, internal and external walls is now in production ready to be delivered to site early in the new year.

This £3.5m development of two and three bedroom houses in Wakefield for Yorkshire Housing was officially opened by Denise Jeffery, Deputy Leader of Wakefield Council, pictured here with Vicky Carroll and Will Lifford from Yorkshire Housing. The scheme has been developed in partnership with Wakefield District Council and constructed by Starfish to provide 31 affordable homes for local families.

AWSM are delighted that planning consent has been granted following a unanimous decision at the October plans panel for this major regeneration project near Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. The development will see a redundant brownfield area regenerated by a £35m mixed use scheme providing 447 student and 237 private rented apartments with communal A1/A3 use classes.
