Acanthus WSM are delighted that the estate regeneration continues in Halton with the second phase receiving planning approval.

The proposal will see the creation of new build two and three bedroom properties in curtilage car parking and landscaping and will reinforce the street frontage.

It is intended that construction will commence in early 2022.

Acanthus WSM are once again working with Habinteg Housing Association, this time in the Midlands. The proposed scheme will provide much needed CAT 3 wheelchair accessible and CAT 2 accessible / adaptable homes. All apartments are generously proportioned offering residents the chance of independent living both inside and out, this includes access to either private outdoor amenity space or accessible balconies off living rooms.

In collaboration with Habinteg, extensive research has been undertaken into the proposed buildings energy strategy without the reliance upon fossil fuels,  not only to future proof the development but also ensure the residents and not forced into fuel poverty.

Habinteg’s continue to create accessible and inclusive communities, offering places to live that meet people’s needs and provide the highest levels of independence, choice and control over daily life – Homes for life.

Extremely positive pre-application feedback has been received from the Local Authority supporting the proposal. Detailed planning application will be submitted summer 2021.

Acanthus WSM are once again working with Winvic Construction to deliver another major city centre residential development. This former melting house site lies within a conservation area and is bordered by the Porter Brook yet close to the main retail quarter.

Consisting of 335 high quality studios and apartments set over 13 floors, the scheme also includes a rooftop ‘sky’ gymnasium, generous communal areas and external terraces. In addition there is over 1000sqm of retail and commercial space at ground floor.

Construction on this £35m scheme is scheduled to start summer 2021 with completion by Spring 2023. The scheme is being delivered on behalf of Platform whose philosophy is to create inspiring places to live, combining high quality interiors with the latest advances in technology.
