Acanthus WSM won a design competition to redevelop the site of the existing Wharfdale Hospital, Otley.

 

The winning proposal created a new residential development combining the conversion of existing listed historic buildings with contemporary new build interventions around a series of courtyards. These form a sequential succession of private and public spaces. The proposals were acknowledged as having a well designed characterful development that also provided a wide variety of housing types within an attractively landscaped setting.
